Dockers Case Study
Background
Dockers is a leader in providing stylish and comfortable casual wear. In 2006, the company introduced Dockers Golf, a key component of its line, focusing on performance apparel with a tailored look and feel. At the 2007 annual AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-AM, Dockers hosted both golfers and celebrities at its Final Round party at Spanish Bay.
Concept
Dockers asked Six Degrees to assist with a room-drop gift which would be placed in every celebrity’s and golf pro’s room upon arrival in Pebble Beach. Six Degrees supplied a sophisticated leather-trimmed weekend bag that could be used while at Pebble Beach or for future get-aways. To make the product even more memorable for the special guests, Six Degrees merchandised the bag with items that would be useful throughout the week such as a golf umbrella, rain poncho and zippered pouch filled with golf tees.
Success
During the event, Dockers personally thanked Six Degrees Marketing for all of the rave reviews its filled weekend bags received from the tournament’s start to finish.. The quality products helped Dockers become the real winner of the event.
